17 march 2022 - 14 APRIL 2022
What began as an introspective project during difficult times evolved into musing on the creative act itself. Multiple narratives were triggered by working with the ubiquitous disposable coffee cups, collected daily over the 263 days of lockdowns.
The calendar is a visual representation of Melbourne’s lockdown period from March 2020 to October 2021. Each day is denoted by either the actual image of the coffee cup interior, depicting the 263 lockdown days, or the muted version symbolizing the 296 non lockdown days which still posed restrictions in our daily lives.
